All Units of Competency delivered by us are nationally recognised and can only be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that complies with the governing standards for quality training and assessment.
Assessment is based on competency, meaning the ability to perform required tasks to industry standards.
(Language, Literacy & Numeracy) Requirements
All participants must successfully complete an LLN test upon arrival.
If you are unable to complete the test, you will be advised to seek additional support.

Most of our training programs are delivered over five (5) consecutive days, consisting of 4 days training and 1 day’s assessment at Heavy Industry Training Training’s premises, other employer premises or live work site. See individual course description pages for details on each course.
The 9 hour long days consist of 8 hours training, 2 x 15 min tea breaks and a 30 minute lunch break and while training normally starts at 7:00 am, start and meal times are flexible.
Participants should allow up to 2 hours per night for reviewing their handouts and learning materials. If questions arise, they should make a note and contact their trainer/assessor, who will be available to provide support, clarification, and assistance with any learning needs.
While we can assist with basic English language support, if your needs exceed the level of help we can provide, we will refer you to a suitable organisation for further assistance — this may include your local TAFE.
Our courses and programs can also be delivered on-site for our corporate and private clients wishing to minimise workplace disruption, whilst maximising opportunity and the efficiency of training. Evening and weekend courses are also available by arrangement. We aim to accommodate your work commitments without compromising the quality of your training.
Heavy Industry Training recognises that the cost of paying for a course upfront can seem overwhelming. To help our students manage this hurdle, a few of our courses are available on a payment plan.
